Mrs. Katie Francis Royal of South Boston, VA died Thursday, May 18th at the age of 66.

Mrs. Royal was born in Halifax County, VA on May 11, 1957 to the late Izetta Wendy Kirby and was married to the late Harvey Lee Royal, Sr. She was a member of Union Grove C. M. E. Church.

Mrs. Royal is survived by (1) daughter: Tiffany Mitchell (Joe); (1) son: Harvey Royal (Niaka); (5) grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Denise Ross and Jennifer Ross. In addition to her husband and mother, Katie was preceded in death by (2) sisters: Sarah Kirby and Gladys Davis.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday, May 24th from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m.
