Ms. Lakeisha Poindexter died on Friday, August 6th at the age of 41.

Ms. Poindexter was born in Halifax, VA March 23, 1980 to William “Bill” Poindexter and Audrey Carrington Poindexter. She was a member of Ellis Creek Baptist Church and former employee of Annin Flag Company.

Ms. Poindexter is survived by (1) daughter: Iyana Davis of the home; her mother: Evangelist Audrey Poindexter of South Boston, VA; her father: William Poindexter (Brenda) of Cody, VA; her significant other: Tracy Davis of the home; paternal grandfather: Ernest Poindexter; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including the devoted Kimberly Cole Sparrow.

Funeral services for Ms. Lakeisha Poindexter will be Friday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel with Rev. Julian Miller, eulogist. Burial will follow in Ellis Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Seating will be limited, a mask and social distancing is required.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
