Mr. Leroy Hill of River Road, South Boston, VA died Monday, March 15th at the age of 90.

Mr. Hill was born September 22, 1930 in South Boston, VA to the late Charlie Buck Hill and Willie Easley Hill and was married to Frances Walker Hill. He was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church, a past member of the Mt. Sinai # 203 Masonic Lodge and a member of American Legion Post 99 where he mentored young male teens of the Sinai community. Mr. Hill was a United States Air Force Veteran retiring after 22 years of service.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 64 years: Frances Hill of the home; (2) daughters: Faye H. Smith (Larry) of Richmond, VA, and Melinda Hill of Falls Church, VA; (1) son: Larry D. Hill (EJ) of Newport News, VA; (5) grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; (1) sister: Pauline H. Cauthorne of Baltimore, MD; (1) sister-in-law: and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) brothers: Charles Hill and McKinley Hill, and (5) sisters: Ann Marie Solver, Mildred Hill, Marie Hill, Queen Hill and Vernice H. Tilghman.

A private burial will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, VA.

Public viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, March 25th from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston, VA. Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.
