Mr. Leroy Owen, Jr. of South Boston, VA died Wednesday, December 29th at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 67.

Mr. Owen was born on November 29, 1954 in Halifax County, VA to the late Leroy Owen, Sr. and Nannie Wilkerson Owen.

Mr. Owen is survived by (2) daughters: LaTisha Bennett and Kristen Fleming (Nick); (1) son: Leroy Owen, III; (4) grandchildren: Jeremiah Fleming, Alexa Fleming, Rylee Bennett and Robbie Bennett; (3) sisters: Peggie Gary, Moretta Hicks (Robert) and Jeanette Williams; (5) nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by (1) sister; Doris Jefferson; (3) brothers-in-law: Jay Jefferson, Samuel Gary and Irvin Williams; (1) nephew: John Marvin Murphy. 

Funeral services for Mr. Leroy Owen, Jr. will be private for immediate family members only.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6th from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Following COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required at all viewings and services.
