Early Thursday morning, December 23,2021 God sent his precious angel to call unto himself our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Linwood Earl Boxley, affectionately known as “Skeety.”

Linwood was born on July 21,1967 to Hilda Boxley and Earl Suggs. He was educated in East Orange, New Jersey Public Schools and graduated in 1985. He was certified by the New Jersey of Health Senior Services as a Nursing Assistant on June 4, 1997. Linwood worked at Regional Day Care School from 1999 until he retired in 2017.

Linwood joined Jeter Chapel Baptist Church in 1974 at the age of 8. He worked for the Lord at churches in New Jersey and on February 14, 2018 he was reinstated at Jeter Chapel Baptist Church, where he served on the Men's Ministry.

Linwood leaves to cherish loving memories, his mother: Hilda Coley of the home; one sister, Jacqueline Frazier of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers: Darray and Eric Bethune, both of Detroit, MI; twelve aunts: Remonia Gray of Snow Hill, NC, Mary Suggs of East Orange, NJ, Georgia Waters of Chicago, IL, Shirley Kearney (Larry) of Riverdale, MD, Annie Barber and Linda Moore (Joseph), all of Danville, VA, Rozelle Carrington of Hampton VA, Annie Terry (Jimmie) of Virgilina, VA, Iris Boxley of Alexandria, VA, Diana Edmonds of South Boston, VA, Lorine Wade of Roxboro, NC and Deloris Suitt of Halifax, VA; four uncles: Perry Suggs of Snow Hill, NC, Jessie Boxley (Fay) of South Boston, VA, Stanley Wilkins (Charlotte) of South Boston, VA and Earl Wilkins (Veronica) of Virgilina, VA; one great uncle, Durbert Williams of South Boston, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Suggs and two sisters: Wanda & Earleen.

Graveside service for Linwood Earl Boxley will be Tuesday, December 28th at noon at Jeter Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Bishop Earl Purvis, eulogist.

Public viewing will be one hour prior to service on Tuesday.
