Ms. Loraine Majors of South Boston, VA died on Friday April 30th at the age of 65.

Ms. Majors was born in Halifax County, VA on May 19, 1955 to the late Henry Edward Majors and Pearl Brandon Majors. She was first married to the late John Reed, Jr. and later married Willie Miller and was a member of St. Luke Apostolic Church.

Ms. Majors is survived by (1) daughter: Roxann Majors (James) of South Boston, VA; {1) granddaughter: Dominece Majors of South Boston, VA; (2) brothers: Otis Majors of New York and Samuel Majors (Bee) of New Jersey; (2) sisters: Dorothy Baily (Eugene) and Clarise Bailey (Thomas), all of South Boston, VA; (2) loving nieces: Recinda and Mytisha Majors, both of South Boston, VA; her caregiver: Brianna Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) brother: Charles “Rudy” Majors.

Funeral services for Ms. Loraine Majors will be held on Wednesday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston, VA with Elder Bernard Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday, May 4th from 1 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Following COVID -19 guidelines, seating will be limited, a face mask and social distancing will be required.
