Mr. Luther Lee Barksdale of Scottsburg, VA died on Thursday, January 6th at the age of 47.

Mr. Barksdale was born in Halifax County, VA on May 14, 1974 to Cleophus Green and the late Millie Barksdale Green and was a former employee of J.P. Stevens. He was a member of Spanish Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Barksdale is survived by his father: Cleophus Green of Scottsburg, VA; (1) daughter: Shantelle Tuck; (2) brothers: Earl Barksdale (Christina) of Grand Haven, MI and Draper A. Green of Scottsburg, VA; (5) aunts; (4) uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including the devoted Maryann Hendson.

Funeral services for Mr. Luther Lee Barksdale will be Friday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Spanish Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Womack, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday, from noon until 6:00 p.m. A face mask and social distancing is required.
