Ms. Mable Staten Haddock of New York and formerly of Halifax County, VA, died July 23rd at the age of 74.

Ms. Haddock was born in Halifax County, VA on June 20, 1948 to the late Nephew Staten and Alice Staten and had a very successful career in Public Media.

Ms. Haddock is survived by (1) son: Kevin Haddock of Columbus, OH; (2) grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; (2) brother: Ralph Staten of South Boston, VA and James Staten (Jewell) of Richmond, VA; (4) sisters: Odessa Crews of White Plains, MD, Vivian Staten of Palm Springs, CA, Faye Staten Brown (Leon) of Temple Hills, MD and Brenda Staten of New York, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) brother: William Allen Staten and (1) sister: Rosa Staten Perkins.

Funeral services for Ms. Mable Staten Haddock will be Thursday, August 4th at 11 a.m. at Zion Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Scott, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. A face mask is required at the church.
