Ms. Margaret Reid died on Sunday, September 19th at the age of 73.

Ms. Reid was born April 6, 1948 in Halifax county, VA to the late James A. Reid and Ella Adams Reid. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Ms. Reid is survived by (3) sisters: Berneal Reid of Nathalie, VA Estell Reid of Woodbridge, VA, and May Q. Reid of Brooklyn, NY; (3) brothers: James L. Reid of Warren, MI, George W. Reid (Jennifer) of Woodbridge, VA, and Edward Reid (Valerie) of Temple Hills, MD; a devoted caregiver and friend: Carmalita Escoto; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son: Robert Lee Reid; (4) brothers: Lonzie Reid, Alexander Reid, Howard Reid and Raymond L. Adams and (1) sister: Syddie Adams Lawrence.

Graveside services for Ms. Margaret Reid will be Monday, September 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Finley Fields, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Due to COVID -19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.
