Ms. Margie Marie Lester of South Boston, VA died Sunday, July 4th at the age of 55.

Ms. Lester was born in Halifax County, VA on April 21, 1966 to John Thomas Lester and the late Rose Marie Boyd Lester. At an early age, she joined Five Fork Baptist Church.

Ms. Lester is survived by her father: John Lester and stepmother: Dale Lester; (1) stepbrother: Shean Lester; a special friend: James Burden; devoted aunts and uncles: Robert and Queen Bates of South Boston, VA, Frances Garner of New Newport News, VA, Alberta Patterson, Joe and Faith Lester, all of Philadelphia, PA; (4) great aunts: Mildred Hubbard (Joe) of Baltimore, MD, Gerlean Hubbard (Jordan) and Gracie Jean Boyd (James), all of Nathalie, VA and Amanda Taylor; (1) great uncle: James W. Lester (Charlotte); and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including (2) special cousins: Antonio Boyd (Stephanie) and Sherrie Bates. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Radford (Martha) and Lena Lester, Hubert Boyd and Neil Boyd who reared her until her passing , (1) uncle: Charlie Lester and (1) aunt: Emma Jean Boyd.

A memorial service for Ms. Margie Marie Lester will be Wednesday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston, VA with Rev. James Lester, eulogist.
