Mrs. Marie Octavia Davis of Hyattsville, MD and formerly of Halifax County, VA died Tuesday, December 28th at her residence at the age of 68.

Mrs. Davis was born in Halifax County, VA on July 9, 1953 to the late Mrs. Hester Sydnor Jones. She was married to the late Mr. Richard William Brooks.

Mrs. Davis is survived by (1) daughter: LaShanna Marie Brooks of Hyattsville, MD; and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Octavia Davis will be held Tuesday, January 4th at 1:00 p.m. with services at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA. Burial will follow in Hills Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Gladys, VA.

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service. A face mask and social distancing will be required.
