Mrs. Martha Chandler Brown died on Monday, May 1st at the age of 84.

Mrs. Brown was born April 15, 1939 in Halifax County, VA to the late Adolph Chandler, Sr. and Marion Dixon Chandler. She was married to the late Thomas Alvin Brown and was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Mrs. Brown is survived by (3) sons: Carl Alvin Brown (Dorothy) and Charles Brown, both of Halifax, VA and Michael Brown (Adrienna) of Orange County, VA; (6) daughters: Doris Brown, Martha Sandra Brown and Linda Caddle, all of Halifax, VA, Cathie Dixon (Earl) of Vernon Hill, VA, Sharon Brainard (Daniel) of Portsmouth, VA and Marlene Blackwell (Frederick) of Roxboro, NC; (26) grandchildren; (36) great grandchildren;  (5) great great grandchildren; (5) great great great grandchildren; (8) brothers; (4) sisters; (3) brothers-in-law; (1) aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) brother: Bea Chandler; (3) grandchildren; and (1) great grandchild.

 Memorial services will be held Monday, May 8th at 1:00 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
