Ms. Mary Yvonne Senior of Virgilina, VA died Friday, August 27th at the age of 83.

Ms. Senior was born in Halifax County on September 1, 1937 to the late Mckinley Murray and Essie Marie Johnson. She was a member of Mayo Grove Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Burlington Industry.

Ms. Senior is survived by (1) daughter: Juanita Senior Childress (Leroy); (1) son: William Anthony Senior: (1) grandson: James Andrea Terry; (1) granddaughter: Shamika L. Brewer (Fred); (1) sister-in-law; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mckinley Murray, Charlie and Essie Crowder, she was preceded in death by (1) sister: Juanita Murry Majors and (1) brother: Calvin Murray.

Graveside service for Mary Yvonne Senior will be held Friday, September 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Mayo Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Vaxaeadrene Allen, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel.
