Mr. Matthew Mckinley Logan, Jr. of South Boston, VA died on Monday, May 3rd at his residence at the age of 74.

Mr. Logan was born in Halifax County, VA on April 13, 1947 to the late Matthew Mckinley Logan, Sr. and Bessie Mae Powell Traynham Logan. He was married to Sue Terry Logan and was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Logan was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Logan is survived by his wife: Sue T. Logan of the home; (4) children: Shelia Gibson (Michael Wayne), both of Richmond, VA; Adolphus Logan of South Boston, VA, Marlana Logan of Chesterfield, VA and Mattaline Logan of Richmond, VA; (5) grandchildren; (3) great grandchildren; (5) siblings: Janie L. Lee, Lillian Logan, Sammy Lamont Logan, Janice L. Lacks and Florence L. Worsham; (1) sister-in-law; Bessie Edmonds; (3) adopted brothers and sister: Antonio Logan, Andrew Logan and Laura Logan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Matthew Mckinley Logan, Jr. will be held Saturday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA with Rev. Dr. William F. Carr, eulogist. Burial will follow in Banister Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites.

Public viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, May 7th from 10:00 a. m. until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress funeral Home, South Boston, VA. Following COVID-19 guidelines, seating will be limited, a face mask and social distancing will be required.
