Mr. Milton Alvin “Buck” Barksdale, Jr. of Scottsburg, VA died on Tuesday, November 1st at the age of 51.

Mr. Barksdale was born March 15, 1971 to Josephine Bailey Barksdale and the late Milton Alvin Barksdale, Sr. and was a member of St. James Baptist Church.

Mr. Barksdale is survived by his mother: Josephine Bailey Barksdale of the home; (2) sisters: Tonia Carden of Scottsburg, VA and Teresa Agard of Richmond, VA; (1) nephew: Jonathan Smalls (Brianna) and (1) niece: Tyra Smalls of Scottsburg, VA; (1) great nephew: Jaiden Smalls; (1) great niece: Jaiona Smalls; and a host of other relatives and friends, including the devoted, Gary McCraw.

Funeral services for Milton Alvin “Buck” Barksdale, Jr. will be Monday, November 7th at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Jeffress officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
