Ms. Niquita LaVerne Harris affectionately known as “Kita” of South Boston, VA died on Thursday, November 11th at the age of 49.

Ms. Harris was born in Halifax County, VA on September 16, 1972 to Deborah LaVerne Harris Terry and the late Jerry Brooks.

Ms. Harris is survived by (5) daughters: Deja Womack, N’Dea M. Boxley, Zyire M. Boxley, Egypt M. Boxley and Kaitlyn Hairston; her mother: Deborah H. Terry; (9) siblings: Bridgett Harris-Hamlett (Charlie), Katina Davis (Jermaine), Chanta Reed (Lionel), Troy Roberts, John Brooks (Rita), Ernest Givens, ShaVon Givens, Anthony Brooks and Tateanna Givens; (5) aunts; (1) uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service for Ms. Niquita LaVerne Harris will be held on Friday, November 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Constitution Square, South Boston, VA with Minister Anthony Womack, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Following COVID-19 guidelines a face mask and social distancing will be required.
