Mrs. Novella Chandler Leigh of River Rd., South Boston, VA died Wednesday, June 1st at her residence at the age of 74.

Mrs. Leigh was born in Halifax County, VA on August 21, 1947 to the late Harrison Chandler and Cary Lovelace Chandler. She was married to the late William Earl Leigh and was a member of Great Grace Ministries.

Mrs. Leigh is survived by (1) daughter: Beverly L. Mosley (Don) of Chester, VA; (2) sons: William L. Leigh (Ruth) of Halifax, VA and Jason T. Leigh of South Boston, VA; (8) grandchildren; (1) great grandson; (3) brothers: Earl Chandler (Betty) of Philadelphia, PA, Lawrence Chandler (Pastor Marion Chandler) of Halifax, VA and John Chandler (Louise) of Nathalie, VA; (4) sisters: Gladys Edmonds of Halifax, VA, Bonnie Womack of Baltimore, MD, Anna Chandler and Thelma Leigh (Pastor John Leigh), all of Halifax, VA; (1) aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Stephanie Barksdale, Jean Canada and Kelly Lacks. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) sister: Alberta Williamson and (1) brother: Roger Chandler.

Funeral services for Mrs. Novella Chandler Leigh will be held Thursday, June 9th at 1:00 p.m. with services at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA with Pastor Marion Chandler officiating.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday, June 8th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at The Crawford House. A face mask and social distancing is required.
