Mr. Sammy Lamont Logan of Halifax, VA died on Friday, December 1st at the age of 69.

 

Mr. Logan was born in Halifax County, VA on July 26, 1954 to the late Matthew Mckinley Logan, Sr and Bessie Powell Traynham Logan and was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Logan is survived by his children: Lamont Bashaire Logan of Queens, NY, Terry Daniel and Brandy Daniel, both of Danville, VA and Takoya Woods (Robert) of Durham, NC; (6) siblings: Janie Lee and Janice Lacks (Larry), all of South Boston, VA, Lillian Logan Roberts, Antonio Christopher Logan and Andrew Sherman Logan (April), all of Halifax, VA and Florence Logan of Palm Bay, FL;  adopted sister, Laura Duncan of Lynchburg, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Sue Logan; a faithful girlfriend and mother of two of his children, Sandra Daniel and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Vincent Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) brother: Matthew Mckinley Logan, Jr.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Lamont Logan will be Saturday, December 16th at 11 a. m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Carr, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress.
