Mrs. Mildred Elaine Terrell Griffin Carden of Scottsburg, VA died Thursday, February 1st at the age of 77.

 

Mrs. Carden was born in Halifax County, VA on December 23, 1946 to the late Roosevelt Terrell and Winnie Allen Terrell. She was first married to the late Carson Griffin, Sr. and later married the late Richard Carden. Mrs. Carden was a member of Spanish Grove Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Carden is survived by (1) son: Carson Griffin, Jr. of the home; (1) sister: Jacqueline Bailey of South Boston, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by (4) brothers: Theadore Terrell, James Allen, Andrew Terrell and Isum Terrell.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Elaine Terrell Griffin Carden will be Thursday, February 8th at 2 p.m. at Spanish Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel.
