Mr.  Charlie David Brown of South Boston, VA died on Wednesday, February 7th at his residence at the age of 81.

 

Mr. Brown was born September 4, 1942 in Halifax County to the late Charlie Brown and Alice Maedell Williams Brown and was married to the late Frances Williams Brown.

 

Mr. Brown is survived by (3) children: Tina Smith (Glenn) of the home, Michael Williams of Brooklyn, NY and Charles Brown (Wanda)  of Bronx, NY; (5) grandchildren that he raised as his own: Keith Holt (Wykinnya) of South Boston, VA, Quintin Brown of Brooklyn, NY, Morgan Brown (Lynnzie) of Grand Rapids, MI, Jonathan Brown (Chantel) of Nathalie, VA and Candice Tucker (Deonta) of Chester, VA; (10) grandchildren; (25) great grandchildren; (1) brother, Walker Brown of Queens, NY; (2) sisters: Florine Chandler and Gladys Ballou, both of Halifax, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Claudette Lipscomb, George Roberts and Michael Williams. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death (1) daughter, Iris Brown; (3) sons: Walter, Carl and Kenneth Williams; (1) granddaughter, Tiffany Williams; (1) great granddaughter, Shimiere Waller; (4) brothers: Alvin, Brandford, Lewis and Archer Brown and (1) sister, Hazel Bell.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Charlie David Brown will be Wednesday, February 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel CME Church with Rev. Naomi Bouldin, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
