Ms. Bernita Mae Faulkner of Waldorf, Maryland and formerly of Halifax County died Saturday, June 8th at the age of 64.

Ms. Faulkner was born in Halifax County, VA on July 9, 1959 to the late Gracie Mae Faulkner Damon and was raised by her grandparents the late Isabell Waller Faulkner and Weldon Faulkner. She was a member of Waldorf Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ms. Faulkner was formerly employed with USA Today, Edison Electric Institute and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

Ms. Faulkner is survived by (1) son, Cameron Faulkner of Waldorf, MD; (5) siblings: twin sister, Natalie Faulkner of Oxon Hill, MD, Shelia Faulkner and Latricia Damon, both of Brooklyn, NY, Warren Faulkner of Claymount, DE and Dennis Cooper of Woodbridge, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Pamela Evans-Cooper; (1) aunt, Frozetta Faulkner-Tucker; and a host of uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her dear uncle, Samuel Lee Tucker, Sr.

Funeral service for Ms. Bernita Mae Faulkner will be Sunday, June 23rd, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Seven Day Adventist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.  at Jeffress Funeral Home.
