Mr. Zacharich Shadrack Carter of South Boston, VA died Sunday, June 16th at the age of 20.

 

Mr. Carter was born in Halifax County, VA on December 31, 2003 to Mea Hutcherson and the late Jerry Wayne Carter, Jr. Zach graduated from Halifax County High School in 2022 and was a top notch athlete that excelled in football and basketball. He was employed at Hitachi Energy.

 

Mr. Carter is survived by his mother: Mea Hutcherson (Eddie) of the home; (1) sister, Za’Mea Hutcherson; (3) brothers: Zarrius Scarbrough, Za’Air Carter and Juelz Dunkley, all of South Boston, VA; grandparents: Gloria Hutcherson (Keesie) and Lillie Jacob; (4) uncles; (1) aunt; (4) nieces; (1) nephew; a loving dedicated friend, Jasmyn Cole and a host of great aunts, other relatives and friends .

 

Funeral service for Mr. Zacharich Shadrack Carter will be Monday, June 24th at 1 p.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Carr, eulogist.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel.
