Mrs. Vivian Evelyn Wilborne of Clover, VA died on Tuesday, July 9th at the age of 88.

 

Mrs. Wilborne was born in Halifax County, VA on August 20, 1935 to the late Aaron Green and Mary Britton Green. She was married to the late Joseph Wilborne and gave her life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Wilborne is survived by (3) children: Cassandra Chandler of Raleigh, NC, Sherry Wilborne of Mt. Laurel, VA and Tyree Wilborne (Shawnya) of Dayton, OH; (8) grandchildren; (6) great grandchildren;  (2) sisters: Viola Thomas of Mt. Laurel, VA and Mary Cousins of Browns Mill, NJ; (1) son-in-law, Joseph “Dick” Sims of Halifax, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Mike Snead and Joyce Cheek. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Wilborne Sims; one grandson, Jason Chandler; and one brother, Aaron “AW” Green.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilborne will be Monday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Bowman, eulogist. Burial will follow in Wilborne Family Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
