Mr. James Lawrence “Buck” Sydnor of Halifax, VA died on Thursday, August 1st at the age of 73.

Mr. Sydnor was born on April 15, 1951 in Halifax, VA to the late James Harold Sydnor and Charlotte Louise Tune Sydnor. He was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church. 

​

Mr. Sydnor is survived by (3) sisters: Stephanie Sydnor and Emma Foster, both of Halifax, VA and Sandy S. Frazier of Columbia, SC; (3) brothers: Jerome Sydnor, Christopher Sydnor and Tony Sydnor, all of Halifax, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (3) brothers: Harold Sydnor, Welford Sydnor and Jeffrey Sydnor.

Funeral services for Mr. James Lawrence “Buck” Sydnor will be Wednesday, August 7th at noon at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Carr, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from noon until 6 p.m.  at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA. Family and friends will meet at the church one hour prior to service.
