Mrs. Ada Marie Martin of South Boston, VA died on Monday, August 26th at the age of 87.

 

Mrs. Martin was born in Halifax County, VA on January 9, 1937 to the late Alexander Brooks and Odelia Faulkner Brooks and was married to the late Leroy Martin. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Martin is survived by (4) sons: Leon Martin, Michael A. Martin (Cynthia), Robert L. Martin (Linda) and Acie Martin, all of South Boston, VA; (4) daughters: Odessa A. Meadows, Dale Bowman (Reginald), Carolyn M. Robertson (Gary), all of South Boston, VA and Pamela Martin of Richmond, VA; (25) grandchildren; (44) great grandchildren; (3) great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (3) sons: James Thomas Martin, Larry Donnell Martin and Roosevelt Calvin Martin.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Marie Martin will be Wednesday, September 4th at 1 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church with Elder Frederick Betts, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
