Mr. Joseph “Poochie” Sprattley of Clover, VA died Friday, September 6th at the age of 64.

 

Mr. Sprattley was born in Halifax County, VA on January 22, 1960 to the late Linwood Sprattley and Louise Jones Sprattley. He joined Traynham Grove Baptist Church and was employed by Colonial Freight Systems.

 

Mr. Sprattley is survived by (2) sisters: Pheobe Cook (Richard) of Alexandria, VA and Louise Sprattley of South Boston, VA; (1) brother, Jerry Sprattley of South Boston, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Odessa Chandler, Derrick Chandler, Diane Brown, Heidi and the Mt. Laurel Crew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) sisters: Mary Sprattley and Joann Traynham; and (1) brother, Thomas Sprattley.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph “Poochie” Sprattley will be Saturday, September 21st at 2:30 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with Rev. Marvin Bowman, eulogist.  Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
