Mrs. Ruby Roberta Coleman of Halifax, VA died on Wednesday, September 18th at the age of 94.

 

Mrs. Coleman was born in Halifax County, VA on June 9, 1930 to the late Earnest Robertson and Mattie Downey Robertson. She was married to James Howard Coleman and was a member of White Oak Fork Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Coleman is survived by her husband, James Howard Coleman; (3) sons: Harry Coleman (Mary), Michael Coleman (Joann) and Donald Coleman, all of Halifax, VA; (3) daughters: Christine Coleman, Donna Coleman, both of Halifax, VA and Angela Coleman-Hill (Webster, III) of Richmond, VA; (8) grandchildren; (6) great grandchildren; (1) sister-in-law; (3) brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (5) sisters: Frances Lovelace, Elizabeth Chandler, Blanche Medley, Mary Womack and Selma Terry; and (2) brothers: Lenzy Robertson and Robert Robertson.

 

Private funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Coleman will be Sunday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White Oak Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. 1

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
