Ms. Cynthia Roberta Jones of South Boston, VA died Tuesday, September 24th at the age of 64.

 

Ms. Jones was born in Halifax County, VA on January 2, 1960 to the late Harry “Sonny” Edmonds and Jacqueline Overby Jones. She was a member of New Mt. Olive Apostolic Church.

 

Ms. Jones is survived by (2) sons: Thomas Jones of Roxboro, NC and Robert Jones of South Boston, VA; (3) grandchildren: Nijer’iek Jones, Tiana Jones and Aaron Jones; (1) great grandchild, Azora Mosley-Jones; (1) daughter-in-law, Teresita Jones;  (2) sisters: Bessie Meadows (Curtis) of Bridgeport, CT and Loretta Jennings (Gary) of Vernon Hill, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, James Jennings of Vernon Hill, VA  and Susie Williams of South Boston, VA. In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by (1) daughter, Lawanda Jennings and (1) sister, Audrey Jones.

 

Funeral services for Ms. Cynthia Roberta Jones will be held Tuesday, October 1st at 2:00 p.m. with services at New Mt. Olive Apostolic Church, Halifax, VA with District Elder, William Terry, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
