Mr. Freddie O’Neal Clay of Alton, VA died on Friday, September 27th at the age of 69.

Mr. Clay was born January 28, 1955 in Halifax County, VA to the late Mr. Franshaw Clay, Sr.  and Mrs. Novella Traynham Clay.

​

Mr. Clay is survived by (2) daughters: Ashley N. Stovall of Alton, VA and Jennifer L. Wingfield (David) of Danville, VA; (9) grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; (4) siblings: Mary Traynham of Alton, VA, Rosa Barksdale of South Boston, VA, Marie Clay (Elsie) of Chapel Hill, NC and Larry Clay of Roxboro, NC; a special friend; Henry Featherson,  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (3) brothers: Linwood Clay, Wayne Clay and Franshaw Clay, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Clay will be Thursday, October 3rd at 11 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel.
