Mrs. Michelle Lanette Murchison Long of Halifax, VA died on Monday, September 30th at the age of 42.

 

Mrs. Long was born in Washington, DC on September 30, 1982 to Tina Marie Chalmers and Michael Murchison, Sr. She was married to Deacon Warren Calvin Long, Sr. and was a member of El Bethel the Kingdom Church. She was a hairstylist at Shellz Designz and substitute teacher in Halifax County Public Schools.

 

Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Deacon Warren Long, Sr.; (5) children: Ke’von Murchison, Ka’myza Murchison, Ka’heim Murchison, Warren Long, Jr. and Gabrielle Long; her parents: Tina Chalmers and Michael Murchison, Sr.; grandmother, Dorthy Watkins; mother-in-law, Anne Long; (6) siblings: Sekeita Link, Tanya Murchison, Monique Rogers, Eugena Marable, Sa’de Murchison and Michael Murchison; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.  

 

Funeral services for Michelle Lanette Murchison Long will be Saturday, October 12th at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Ferry Street. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
