Mrs. Freedy Deane Greene “Freda” of Danville, VA died Tuesday, January 2nd at the age of 78.

 

Mrs. Greene was born in Halifax County, VA on December 23, 1945 to the late Luke Alexander Scott and Jenny Greene Scott. She was first married to the late Stanley Ralph Parker, Sr. and later married the late Donnie Ray Garland and the late Paul Nathaniel Green.

 

Mrs. Greene is survived by (2) sons: Stanley Ralph Parker, Jr. of Danville, VA and Sean Nathaniel Dorsey of Halifax, VA; (1) daughter: Shawna Deane Garland-Petty of Halifax, VA; (2) daughters-in-law: Carolyn Parker and Tammy Dorsey; (1) son-in-law: Alan Petty; (1) sister: Jacqueline Gail Craighead of Halifax; (13) grandchildren; (17) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Annie Morton and Rosa Brown. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) sister: Deloris Scott; (2) brothers: Thomas Scott and Tyrone Scott.  

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Freedy Deane Greene will be Monday, January 8th at 2 p.m. with services at Brown’s Memorial Church of God in Christ.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.  at Jeffress Funeral Home.
