Mr. Howard Kent Palmer of Bronx, NY and formerly of Clover, VA died on Sunday, November 24th at the age of 71.

Mr. Palmer was born April 19, 1953 in Halifax County, VA to the late James E. Palmer and Evelyn Pleasant Palmer.  He was married to Anabelle Chandler Palmer and was employed by the Town of South Boston for 19 years.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Anabelle; (3) sons: Tyray, Travis and Paris Malik; (3) daughters: NyKeisha, Tiniquia, and Sharay;  (11) grandchildren; (5) great grandchildren; (5) stepchildren: Norman (Tanya), Stacey (Sonya), Jennifer (Tony), Wanda and Ryall; (4) brothers: Burrous (Rosetta), Wendell, Donald (Annie) and Charlie; (3) sisters: Evelyn Mae, Urszula (Joseph)  and Rosetta; (1) aunt, Alice and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (4) brothers: Louis, James, William and Keith; (2) sisters: Kathleen and Rosemary; and (1) stepson, James.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Kent Palmer will be Saturday, December 7th at 11 a.m. at Halifax County High School with Rev. Marvin Bowman, eulogist. Burial will follow at Bethel Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.    

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home
