​Mr. Ronald Thomas Martin of South Boston, VA passed away on December 5, 2024 at the age of 73. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

​

Mr. Martin was born on March 14, 1951 in Halifax County, Virginia to Letcher Hunter Martin, Sr. and Charlotte Eloise Martin. He was married to Linda C. Martin and was employed by Walmart for over 20 years at both the South Boston and Roxboro location.

​

He was devoted to the Halifax County Rescue Squad and the South Boston Fire Department. In his spare time, he dedicated himself to family and helping out friends.

​

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Linda C. Martin; (2) daughters: Lisa Martin and Tabitha Chappell (husband, Jamie); son/grandson, Eric Martin (wife, Nina); his grandchildren: Annabella, Abigail, Greyson, Maverick and Sadie; (1) sister, Tammy Gravitt (husband, Jimmy); (1) brother, Letcher Hunter Martin, Jr. (wife, Jen); and a host of other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents: Letcher Hunter Martin, Sr. and Charlotte Eloise Martin; and (2) sisters: Jenny Henry and Charlotte Martin Elliott.
