Mrs. Laura Brenda Pointer of South Boston, VA died on December 4th at the age of 76.

 

Mrs. Pointer was born December 10, 1947 in North Carolina to the late Robert Poteat and Minerva Poteat.  She was married to Johnnie Pointer and was a member of Greater Brandon Chapel Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Pointer is survived by her husband, Johnnie Pointer; (6) grandchildren: Terrance Poteat, Chanel Chapel (TC), Corey Pointer, Jr., Cyron Dixon, Steven Watson and Tianna Jiggetts; (1) great grandchild, Devina’ir Poteat-McKinnon; (1) sister, Semond Coleman of Milton, NC; (1) sister-in-law, Jeanette Poteat of Danville, VA; (2) stepchildren; Corey Pointer (Patricia) of Mebane, NC and Cecilia Pointer of Burlington, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) daughter, ShaLecia Poteat; (2) brothers: Robert Hester and Willie Spencer Poteat; and (1) sister, Annette Hill.

 

A memorial service for Mrs. Laura Brenda Pointer will be Friday, December 13th at noon at Greater Brandon Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Coleman, eulogist.
