Ms. Mary Jones Jackson of South Boston, VA died on Monday, December 23rd at the age of 65.

 

Ms. Jackson was born in Halifax County, VA on February 10, 1959 to Catherine Jones and late Linburg Hill. She was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church.

 

Ms. Jackson is survived by (4) children: Angela Bowman (Derrick), Doreen Jackson Guthrie, Reginald Jackson, and Carnell Jackson (Jackie); (12) grandchildren; (6) great grandchildren; her mother, Catherine Dunkley; (3) brothers: Robert Jones (Carolyn), Earnest Jones, and Larry Jones (Joyce); (5) sisters: Frances Dunkley,  Rebecca Boyd, Emma Jones, Martha Jones (Curtis) and Margaret Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Jones Jackson will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sunflower Baptist Church with Rev. Robert M. Tucker, Jr, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
