Mrs. Ada Crews Jackson of Scottsburg, VA died on Friday April 12th at the age of 92.

 

Mrs. Jackson was born September 21, 1931 in Halifax County, VA to the late Nathaniel Crews and Odell Oliver Crews and was married to the late James Louis Jackson, Sr.  She was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Jackson is survived by (2) sons: James Jackson, Sr. (Novella) and Robert Jackson, Sr. (Lynda), all of Scottsburg, VA; (2) daughters: Debra Barksdale and Emma Carden, both of Scottsburg, VA; (7) grandchildren; host of great grandchildren; (1) brother, Joe Crews of Orlando, FL; (1) sister,  Ellen Crews Easley of Halifax, VA; (2) sisters-in-law: Lourdes Crews of Orlando, FL and Evelyn Jackson of Chase City, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including Barfield Mitchell, William Haley and Frances Pegues.

 

Funeral services for Mrs.  Ada Crews Jackson will be Friday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Louis S. Leigh, Sr. eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday one hour prior to the service.
