Ms. Nadine Lucinda Foster Staten of South Boston, VA died on Thursday, April 18th at the age of 74.

Ms. Staten was born March 25, 1950 in Halifax County, VA to the late John A. Foster and Edna Powell Foster and was a member of Deliverance Tabernacle Apostolic Church. She retired from Presto Products, Inc.

Ms. Staten is survived by a daughter, Monica Lynn Smith (Darryl) of Durham, NC; (1) son, William Allen Staten, Jr. (Shontai) of Alexandria, VA; (5) grandchildren; (1) great grandchild; (4) sisters: Annie Clark, Agnes Strange, Irene Edmonds (James) and Bettie Delaware (John) ; (2) brothers: Willie Foster and Robert Foster (Tamerenna) and a host of nieces, including Sheryl Jubert (George),nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including, Ralph Hodnett and Margaret Coleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) sister, Bernice Dixon; (4) brothers: George Foster (Listine), John D. Foster, Samuel Foster and Burrell Foster (Mary).

Funeral services for Ms. Nadine Lucinda Foster Staten will be Thursday, April 25th at noon at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m.
