Mr. Carl Francis Vickers of Halifax, VA died on Friday, April 26th at the age of 79.

 

Mr. Vickers was born May 13, 1944, in New York to the late Ben Vickers and Mary Carrington Vickers.  He was married to the late Mary Womack Vickers and was a member of New Hope Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.  He was an Air Force Veteran.

 

Mr. Vickers is survived by (1) son:  Cartino Vickers of Halifax, VA; (2) grandchildren:  Ashia Wilson (Joshua) and Tamier Vickers; (3) great grandchildren; (1) brother:  Rashael Abdur-Rahman; sister-in-law:  Serita Durham (Larry) of Halifax, VA and a host of other relatives.  In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Vickers was preceded in death by his brother, James Vickers and one grandson, Devell Vickers.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Carl Francis Vickers will be Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Wimbish, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Vickers Family Cemetery with military rites.

 

The public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon to 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
