Mr. Archie Leon Marable of South Boston, VA died on Wednesday May 1st at the age of 68.

Mr. Marable was born July 17, 1955 in Halifax County, VA to the late Archie Lee Marable and Jessie Carrington Marable and was a member of Mayo Grove Baptist Church. He was employed at Halifax Regional Hospital for 33 years and was a member of Halifax County Rescue Squad.

Mr. Marable is survived by daughter: Kimberly D. Marable and son, Terry A. Marable both of South Boston, VA; (1) granddaughter: Kiara J. Marable of South Boston, VA, (1) sister: Brenda M. Whitlock (Vennie) of South Boston, VA,(1) brother: Kirk Johnson (Emannuel) of River Forest IL, mother-in-law: Dorothy Whitlock of South Boston, VA, (1) niece: Miyoshi Whitlock, (1) nephew:  Dominic Chandler; wife, Virginia Marable; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Archie Leon Marable will be Monday, May 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mayo Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday, May 5th from noon until 6 p.m. at Jeffress funeral Home.
