Mr. Paul Carrington Sydnor of Hampton, VA and formerly of Halifax, VA died on Friday, May 24th at the age of 67.

Mr. Sydnor was born December 11, 1956, in Halifax County, VA to the late Willie C. Sydnor and Phoebe White and was married to Theresa Carden Sydnor. He was reared in Banister Hill Baptist Church and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA.

Mr. Sydnor is survived by his wife, Theresa Carden Sydnor of the home; (3) daughters: Chanatha D. Nettles, Trevia D. Hunt, and Andrea T. Hunt and (1) son, Andre’ L. Hunt, all of Hampton, VA; (6) sisters and brothers: Bertha S. Bailey, Willie Sydnor (Shirley), Phoebe Barksdale, Geraldine Stevens (Wallace), Janie Sydnor, all of Halifax, VA and Charlie Hayes (Brenda) of Vernon Hill, VA; (4) grandchildren; father and mother-in-love: Windell and Marilyn Carden; (5) sisters-in-love; (2) brothers-in-love; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) grandson, Jamaal K. Walker, Jr., (1) sister, Louise S. Ballou, (2) brothers: Joseph “Turk” Sydnor, Harry Lee Hayes; and (2) nephews: John Ballou and Charlie Ballou.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Carrington Sydnor will be Monday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
