Ms. Shacara Makilla Walton of South Boston, VA died on Friday, March 7th at the age of 30.

Ms. Walton was born in Halifax County, VA on April 28, 1994 to Frances Jones and the late Dophas Ragsdale, III.

​

Ms. Walton is survived by her mother and step-father, Frances Jones and Christopher Jones of the home; (1) sister, Ebony Walton; (2) brothers: Kadeem Walton (Tacheedah) and Mel’Quan Burrell; (1) foster sister, Sharde Royal; (1) foster brother, Jeremy Royal; grandmothers: Phillistine Walton and Dale Bowman; (2) aunts; (4) uncles; (1) godson; (1) goddaughter; (2) god fathers: William Chappell and Eric Carrington; (6) god mothers: Linda Miller, Kim Spencer, Sabrina Featherston, Evon Stovall, Janice Whitehead and Margaret Bailey;  a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by (1) uncle, Kelvin Ragsdale, grandparents: Linda Gail Trent Ragsdale, Dophas Ragsdale, Jr. and Earl Walton. Sr.

Funeral services for Ms. Shacara Makilla Walton will be Friday, March 21st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Featherston, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends be Thursday, March 20th from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
