Mr. Jesse Ray Traynham, Sr. died on Tuesday, January 21st at the age of 60.

 

Mr. Traynham was born February 20, 1964 in Halifax, VA to the late Ms. Mary Elizabeth Traynham. He was formerly married to Cindy H. Henderson.

 

Mr. Traynham is survived by (4) children: Jessica Freeze of Dallas, TX, Jesse Ray Traynham, Jr. (Monique) of Callands, VA, Venecia Williams of Scottsburg, VA and Cynthia Franklin (Tevin) of Lynchburg, VA; (9) grandchildren: Jewel, Aniyah, J’Yani, Jesse, III, Jayden, Antonio, Jr., Oniko, Aiden and Ezekiel; (3) sisters: Sandra Traynham of Brookneal, VA, Mary Womack (Eddie) of Nathalie, VA and Sarah Traynham of South Boston, VA;  bonus children: Charles Williams, Aubrey Jordan and Tanesia Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including Wayne Hamlett, Alfred Traynham and Taijah Edwards.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Ray Traynham, Sr. will be Saturday, January 25th at 2:30 p.m. at Sunflower Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Claiborne, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
