On Thursday, December 23, 2021 God summoned to eternal rest one of his beloved children, Ricky Ronnell Hodges. He was born on February 8, 1966 to Queen Powell Hodges and the late Shirley Hodges. He graduated from Halifax County High School and was employed at Lasco Bathware for over 20 years. Rickey accepted Christ at an early age and joined Banister Hill Baptist Church and was married to Briggett Carrington Hodges.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife, Briggett Carrington Hodges; mother, Queen P. Hodges; one sister, Wanda Hodges Coleman (Lee); one brother, Aaron Hodges (Branda); three sisters-in-law: Ann W. Price (James), Sheila Squires (James) and Janet Mitchell (Nathaniel); two god sons: Kyle Roanne and Joshua Coleman; four aunts: Brenda Edmunds, Elizabeth Williams, Annie Logan and Thelma Jones (James), all of Philadelphia, PA; devoted niece, Shavee Carrington; devoted cousin, Frankie Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Rickey was preceded in death by one daughter, Dominique Gabrielle Hamlett; one niece, Laylah Rose Garner; mother-in-law, Annie Carrington; and father-in-law, Lawrence Carrington.
