Mr. Robert Cornell Brooks of Scottsburg, VA died Wednesday, March 29th at his residence at the age of 60.

Mr. Brooks was born in Halifax County, VA on October 17, 1962 to the late Frank Brooks, Sr. and Bertha Lambert Brooks. He was married to Peggie Sydnor Brooks and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife: Peggie Brooks of the home; (3) sons: Juwan Brooks and Darius Brooks, both of Scottsburg, VA and DaVante Brooks (Kristin) of Richmond, VA; (4) grandchildren; (4) sisters: Juanita Sydnor, Catherine Edmonds (William), Lona Chandler (Mark), all of Scottsburg, VA and Mary Forest of Nathalie, VA; (3) brothers: Charlie Brooks (Ardell) of Randolph, VA, Frank Brooks, Jr. of Norfolk, VA and Roger Brooks (Barbara) of Scottsburg, VA; (7) sisters-in-law; (6) brothers-in-law; (3) god children; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Cornell Brooks will be held Sunday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with services at White Oak Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA with military honors.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1st from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
