Mr. Robert Joseph “Joe” Duncan of South Boston, VA died Thursday, April 13th at the age of 79.

Mr. Duncan was born in Halifax County, VA on December 21, 1943 to the late Nannie Frances Duncan and Willie Logan. At an early age he joined Berry Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Duncan is survived by (2) sons: Joe Benjamin Parker of Philadelphia, PA and Larry Walton (Janice) of Roxboro, NC; (2) daughters: Carmetta Harris (Robert) of Oxford, NC and Deborah Ann Duncan of South Boston, VA; (6) grandchildren; (11) great grandchildren; a special friend, Eddie Ferrell, devoted friend, Trish Byrd and a devoted caregiver, Tracey Guthrie. In addition to his parents, and god parents he was preceded in death by (1) grandson: Lennon Lacy.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Joseph “Joe” Duncan will be Thursday, April 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Berry Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Wednesday from noon until 6:00 p.m.
