Mr. Robert Hunter Fitzgerald of Vernon Hill,  VA died on Wednesday, May 26th at the age of 65.

Mr. Fitzgerald was born March 10, 1965 in Halifax County, VA to the late Leon F. Fitzgerald and Lucille D. Fitzgerald. He was married to the late Joyce L. Fitzgerald and was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church.

Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by (2) daughters: Shawna Fitzgerald of Raleigh. NC and Denise Harrison (Kevin) of New Braunfels, TX; (1) stepdaughter: Stephanie Francois of Stafford, VA; (7) grandchildren; (4) sisters: Anna Henderson (Norman) of Alexandria, VA, Janice Fitzgerald, Patrice Fitzgerald and Donna Fitzgerald, all of Richmond, VA; (5) brothers: Curtis Fitzgerald of Halifax, VA, Larie Fitzgerald, Sr. of Alexandria, VA, James Fitzgerald (April) of Manassas, VA, Charles Fitzgerald of Roanoke, VA and Abner ”Stuart” Fitzgerald of Woodbridge, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel with Rev. John Elliot, eulogist. Burial will follow at New Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston, VA. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1217 Oak Level Road, Vernon Hill, VA.
