Mrs. Sallie “Rosa” Holt Fountain of South Boston, VA died Wednesday, May 18th at the age of 78.

Mrs. Fountain was born in Halifax County, VA on September 16, 1943 to the late Henry Holt and Mattie Banks Holt. She was married to John Fountain and was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Fountain was an operator at J.P. Stevens for 39 years.

Mrs. Fountain is survived by her husband: John Fountain of Scottsburg, VA; (1) son: Derek Fountain of Scottsburg, VA; (4) grandchildren; (3) great grandchildren; (1) brother: James Holt of Greensboro, NC; (1) sister: Harriett Outlaw (Cornell) of Halifax, VA; (1) brother-in-law; (1) sister-in-law; (5) adopted grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son: Tyree Cortes Fountain.

Funeral service for Mrs. Sallie “Rosa” Holt Fountain will be held Friday, May 27th at noon at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with Rev. Dr. Louis Leigh, eulogist. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

A face mask is required.
