Mr. Samuel Vincent Johnson died on Friday, January 21st at the age of 74.

Mr. Johnson was bornin Person County, NC on August 19, 1947 to the late Vincent Johnson and Nannie Johnson. He was married to Mrs. Ola Johnson and was a member of Greater Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife: Ola Johnson of the home; (1) son: Gerald Johnson (Kolosa) of Sutherlin, VA; (1) daughter: Lakena Johnson of South Boston, VA; (6) grandchildren; (3) great grandchildren; (3) sisters: Bernice Lipscomb of South Boston, VA, Dorothy Lipscomb (George) of Alton, VA and Catherine Edmunds (Samuel) of Ringgold, VA; (1) brother: Barethonie Johnson (Nancy) of South Boston, VA; (1) sister-in-law; (1) brother-in-law; (1) uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (3) sisters: Shirley Brandon, Loretta Swain and Edith Trammell.

Funeral Services for Mr. Samuel Vincent Johnson will be held on Friday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Galloway, eulogist. Burial will follow in Greater Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. A face mask and social distancing will be required during service.
