Mr. Sha’von “Shavy” Jermaine Givens of Alton, VA died Friday, March 25th at the age of 35.

Mr. Givens was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 16, 1987 to Deborah L. Harris Terry and the late Ernest Lilavois. At an early age he attended Wesley Chapel CME Church and was baptized at New Vernon Baptist Church. Sha’von was employed at Capstone Logistics.

Mr. Givens is survived by his mother: Deborah L. Harris Terry; (2) children: Shyleek A. Givens and JaLeah LaVene Givens (Brandy); his siblings: Bridget Harris-Hamlett (Charlie), Katina Davis (Jermaine), Chanta Reed (Lionel), Troy Roberts, Ernest Givens and Tateanna Givens; (12) nieces; (7) nephews; (6) great nieces and (4) great nephews; his LEP family and a host of cousin other relatives and special friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister: Niquita Harris.

Funeral services for Mr. Sha’von Jermaine Givens will be Friday, April 1st at 2:00 p.m. at South Boston Church of God with Minister Naomi Bouldin, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. A face mask and social distancing is required.
