Mr. Sherman Ferrell of South Boston, VA died on Friday, September 3rd at the age of 69.

Mr. Ferrell was born in Halifax County, VA on February 1, 1952 to the late Roger Ferrell and Mattie Henry Ferrell. He was married to Mary Ann Rudd Ferrell and was a member of Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Ferrell was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Rudd Ferrell of the home; (3) sons: Sherman D. Ferrell (Griselda) of Roanoke, VA, Lamont Ferrell of Lynchburg, VA, and Troy Ferrell of Nathalie, VA; (6) grandchildren; (5) sisters: Marie Garner of South Boston, VA, Nannie Childress of Englewood, NJ, Virginia Mann (Robert) of Mt. Vernon, NY, Linda Simon (Kirk) of Clover, VA, and Mary Lovelace (Howard) of Harrisburg, NC; (1) brother: Roger Ferrell (Doris) of Halifax, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Delois Ferrell, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) brothers: Earl Ferrell and Edward Ferrell.

Funeral services for Mr. Sherman Ferrell will be Friday, September 10th at 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA with Rev. Thomas L. Divens, eulogist. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress funeral Home, South Boston, VA.
